    Director of Music and Organist

    Darryl Miller serves St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Franklin, Tennessee, as Director of Music and Organist, a position has held since 2002. At St. Andrew Church, Darryl plays the organ, directs the adult and bell choirs, and serves on the Worship Planning Committee. He was directly responsible for negotiating the acquisition of the Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ. In addition to his work at St. Andrew, he is a music specialist with the Metro Nashville Public Schools.

    From 1985-1990 and from 1996-2002, Darryl was the Associate Director of Music and Organist of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He has taught on the music faculty of Middle Tennessee State University in Tennessee and Florida International University in Miami, Florida.

    He was educated at Cedarville College, the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, Scarritt College, and Grand Canyon University. In addition to his earned bachelor and master's degrees, he was awarded an honorary degree in 1988 from Wessex Theological College in Wessex, England, for his “attainments in music and his contributions to the church.”

    As an accompanist, conductor and concert organist, Darryl has performed in some of the most famous churches and halls in the world, including Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, St. Paul's Cathedral in London, and St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. In the summer of 2013, Darryl performed solo concerts at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, and was the first American to perform an organ concert at the Cathedral of Saint-Gervais-et-Saint-Protais in Soissons, France.

    He is listed in Who's Who in Religion and International Men of Note. Dr. Miller and his wife, Susie, are the parents of one daughter, Annie. Darryl enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter, cooking and all things “French.”
