Outreach

Serve

Reaching out to serve and advocate for those in need

Serve (or Outreach) is the hub for all the many groups and organizations through which our faith community serves our local and global community. Some of these organizations include:

Music Ministry

We have a robust music ministry at Saint Andrew, led by our Director of Music, Brian Russell. Our Children’s Music class (6th graders and younger) meets during Sunday School. Our Youth/Adult Choir (7th graders through adults) rehearse on Wednesday evening. We also have a fantastic Handbell Choir (open to 7th graders through adults) which rehearses on Wednesday evenings as well, right before the choir rehearsal.

Room In The Inn • Winter Shelter

During the cold months of November through March, on two Friday nights per month, volunteers host a sleepover at St. Andrew Lutheran Church called the Winter Shelter for 6 men from Room In The Inn shelter in downtown Nashville.

St. Paul’s Breakfast

Each month, we collect breakfast items donated, wrap items, put in boxes and bags and deliver them to the Nashville Rescue Missions. Thanks for helping with this important outreach!

ECLA Disaster Response

The Southeastern Synod Disaster Ministry Committee works hard to prepare and respond to the many disasters that happen on our synod territory, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. This work is hard and rewarding and the committee is always in need of funds to help those in need following these disasters. The love and care they provide is priceless. If you are able, we encourage you to give to this amazing ministry.

Trinity Hope: Haitian Chidren’s Feeding Ministry

Trinity HOPE is a ministry that feeds thousands of hungry children, teachers and cooks each day in Christian schools spread throughout Haiti. This is the only meal nearly 50% of those we serve will eat in a 24-hour period. If you feel so led, we encourage you to learn more and give to this worthy ministry.
