SAND VOLLEYBALL COURT
We loved playing Volleyball so much - we made our own court!

After our summer service trips to Affirm and Mountain T.O.P we discovered All of our youth have something in common: athletic ability or the ability to be great cheerleaders and supporters of one another. During our time at camps, community time playing volleyball brings us all together. What better way to continue and cultivate this support for one another than to build us a back yard volleyball court. Thanks to this incredibly generous congregation Volleyball at Saint Andrew is a real thing.

Come join the fun!

Sunday School

Sunday school meets each Sunday for children, youth and adults between worship services from 9:50 - 10:50AM.

Children’s Sunday school opening begins in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45 - 10:10. Youth are welcome to volunteer and assist with Sunday school opening.

Sunday school classes for children PreK-1st grade meet in the classroom right off of the fellowship hall. 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade meet in the first classroom downstairs on the right. 5th and 6th grade, 7th and 8th grade and High School youth meet for class in separate rooms downstairs.

All classrooms are marked with group signs. 7th and 8th grade Sunday school class is confirmation class, which is a two year rotation curriculum. After the second year students will be confirmed as 9th graders typically on Reformation Sunday in October.

Sunday school for 2024-2025 will officially begin with Rally Sunday on September 8th, 2024. There are many opportunities to actively participate in the ministries of Saint Andrew. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Director for youth and family ministry, Sandy Vollmer at sandra@saintandrew.com

Volunteers are background checked and practice two deep leadership principles. Be sure to check the Sign-up tab on the Church home page. This is always changing according to the activities that need volunteers for youth and children’s ministries.

Youth Summer 2025… Coming Soon!

Throughout the year we prioritize offering opportunities for Service Trips, Youth Camps, Retreats, Lock-ins and More!

Here is what you can expect for our 2025 Summer for Youth:

  • AFFIRM: June 15-20, 2025: AFFIRM is an ELCA synod wide event that gathers youth from the Southeastern synod for a week of learning, fellowship, leadership and community in age appropriate units. When students register, they choose which unity they’d like to participate in throughout the week. AFFIRM is typically held on a college campus with students housed in dorms and meals served in the campus cafe. The location for 2025 AFFIRM will be announced in the spring.
  • Mountain T.O.P: June 22 - 29, 2025: Mountain T.O.P gathers participants from many different congregations to serve the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of people in the community of rural Appalachia. Along with attending camp and daily service opportunities - we build faith, and friendships through daily devotion, worship, activities and fellowship that builds life-long relationships in and amongst all of the participants.
